NURSE-LED INNOVATION
This partnership didn’t happen overnight. Conversations began in spring 2024, followed by a comprehensive year-and-a-half vetting process. AdventHealth had been searching for several years for a personal care company that could truly serve their multicultural patient population from pediatrics to adult care.
What makes this partnership especially meaningful is how it came to be. Through AdventHealth’s shared governance committee, nurses Kysha Alexis and Teyana Ross said frustrations with existing products from major brands simply weren’t effective for diverse hair types. Their advocacy drove the search for better solutions.

Canviiy products including shampoo, conditioner, and anti-itch treatments were piloted on pediatric and high-risk units. Based on the clinical observations both patients and healthcare providers found Canviiy products more suitable for multicultural populations.. Today, Canviiy products are being used at AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth for Women in Orlando.
