To kickoff Women’s History Month, Sean Daly of ABC Action News Tampa featured Sherrel Sampson and the Canviiy brand. He highlighted not only the founder’s story but how the brand started with partnerships in the local community, grew across channels into health care and now is launching into over 600 Walmart stores nationally.
One of Canviiy’s first retailers was My Shade & Textures, one of Tampa’s premier beauty supply stores. Sherrel and My Shade & Texture’s owner Pamela Thompson discuss how the brand began, why it has been the right solution for My Shade & Texture’s customers and how the two founders empower each other.

The feature goes on to interview Moffitt Cancer Center’s Salon Supervisor, Denise Green as she shares the patient experience of Canviiy ScalpBliss solutions. Denise says “Patients love it. It is refreshing, it’s great, it is like – Wow!” Moffitt has been able to successfully use Canviiy Itch Calming Serum as a natural alternative to steroid creams without sacrificing efficacy.
These local partnerships have led to national success, as Canviiy has officially launched in over 600 Walmart stores throughout the country. As a demonstration of Walmart’s commitment to the brand, they are testing the brand in both the Scalp Care and Multicultural hair care sections. The Scalp Care hair section contains brands like Head & Shoulders and Selsun Blue and is centered in a problem/solution oriented mindset. The placement in Multi-Cultural hair is based in a consumer centric mindset, as Canviiy is ideal for all scalp types and it over indexes multi-culturally due to the irritation from protective styling.
When asked Sherrel Sampson, Founder & CEO of Canviiy said “ It is a major milestone for Canviiy ScalpBliss products to now be sold at the world’s largest retailer. We are happy for the loyalty of foundational partners and the trust of new partners such as Walmart. We are committed to driving excellence at shelf and delivering customer satisfaction for each and every shopper that patronizes our brand.”
